Why a Studio?

The photo above is the entrance to our 7-year old, 46-bike studio that has grown in attendance, revenue and profit in each year it has been open.

There are a few things about a dedicated studio that make it a  unique and exceptional business model when well executed.  A studio approach builds a true fitness community AND can effectively compete with “big box” gyms, and smaller specialized health clubs.

Typical studio amenities include an online reservations system so clients are never shut out or forced to wait,  and a flexible “pay-per-class” system instead of, or in addition to traditional memberships.  Most importantly, since studios are dedicated to a single or small number of group fitness classes…..and it is all they do, special attention is paid to all the details that make classes a great experience: music system, lighting, equipment, mirrors, flooring, amenities, towels……..and of course a focussed effort to find the best possible instructors.
